Mariana Antonovych is a Managing Associate at AMV Law Offices. She has represented sovereign states and multinational corporations in arbitrations under SCC, LCIA, ICC, UNCITRAL, ICAC and FOSFA rules, as well as in cross-border litigation, with total disputed amounts exceeding USD 7.8 billion. Her work covers the full lifecycle of disputes – from case strategy and evidence gathering to cross-examinations and enforcement proceedings across multiple jurisdictions. She also has a strong focus on matters related to the compensation of damage caused by Russian aggression and sanctions. Prior to joining AMV, she worked at leading Ukrainian and international law firms, as well as a government aid organisation.
Mariana was admitted to the Ukrainian Bar in 2022 and to the Roll of Solicitors of the Senior Courts of England and Wales (non-practising) in 2026.

Mariana’s selected experience includes advising/representing:
- three defense companies in arbitration proceedings arising out of military procurement contracts, conducted under ICAC, ICC, and LCIA rules.
- UKRAINE in two investment treaty arbitrations with over USD7.8 bln in dispute (SCC, UNCITRAL).
- A LEADING UKRAINIAN AGRICULTURE COMPANY in an LCIA arbitration arising out of a failed joint venture (settled).
- defeated a USD20 million claim in an LCIA arbitration and subsequent set aside proceedings before the UK High Court (see BPY v MXV [2023] EWHC 82 (Comm)).
- AN AUSTRALIA-BASED GRAPHITE PRODUCER AND GOLD EXPLORATION COMPANY in relation to potential USD4 mln LCIA arbitration.
- A MAJOR UKRAINIAN AGRICULTURE TRADER on a FOSFA arbitration with over EUR1.2 mln in dispute arising out of the buyers’ default under the contract on sale of oilseeds.
- A GLOBAL GAME DEVELOPMENT COMPANY in a dispute under the IFTA Rules with USD1 mln in dispute.
- a client in a shareholders dispute in an LCIA arbitration and parallel court proceedings (Cyprus, Belize, Ukraine, Liechtenstein and Switzerland).
- a client in an LCIA arbitration in a post-M&A dispute related to the sale of one of the largest agroholdings in Ukraine (settled).
- a client in connection with the litigation in London relating to family law matters and related proceedings on recognition of the English court orders in Ukraine.
- assisted in preparation of an expert report on Ukrainian law for a successful defendant in a commercial dispute before the UK High Court (see Avonwick Holdings Ltd v Azitio Holdings Ltd & Ors [2020] EWHC 1844 (Comm) (14 July 2020)).
